About the Role
As a Line Cook at our wine lounge, you'll be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that complement our extensive wine selection. You'll work closely with the Head Chef to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of menu items.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations
Adapt to changing menu items and seasonal specials
Assist with food presentation and plating
Requirements
2+ years of experience as a line cook, preferably in a fine dining or wine-focused establishment
Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Food Handler's Certification required
Part-time position
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of wine pairing principles is a plus
